Bullet strikes transitional facility in Warren

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio -

Police are investigating after the Beatitude House in Warren was struck by gunfire.

On Tuesday, a woman who was standing outside the building on Tod Avenue tells police she witnessed a bullet strike near the front door.

The witness believes the bullet came from the direction of a vacant property next door, which is the former Saint Joseph Hospital.

Police recovered the bullet, which damaged a brick. No one was injured.

The transitional home provides families with a fully-furnished apartment while mothers in need work on their educational goals and employment.
