Second Boardman eyeglass store is victim of designer frame theft

Posted: Updated:

Another Boardman Township business is reporting the theft of thousands of dollars worth of eyeglass frames.

The operator of the America's Best store in the Shops at Boardman Park tell police that they are missing $2,000 worth of frames.

Store personnel believe that a woman with a child put the designer frames in a bag before leaving the store on Wednesday.

After conducting an inventory, the store reports that seven pairs of Fendi eyeglass frames and nine pairs of Ray Ban frames are missing.

Police are reviewing store surveillance tapes to attempt to identify the alleged shoplifter.

In June, the Boardman LensCrafter store reported that 31 eyeglass frames were missing.  Surveillance tapes showed different men placing frames in their pockets.

LensCrafters says the frames were valued at $7,000.
