Warren police searching for drive-thru shooting suspect

Posted: Updated:
WARREN, Ohio - Warren police are searching for a suspect they say jumped into a drive-thru window of a gas station while opening gunfire.

It happened at about 2 a.m. Wednesday morning at Fast Fuel gas station on Parkman Road. Police believe the suspect was determined to hurt the clerk working at the gas station.

Surveillance video depicts the moments when the suspect climbed into the drive-thru window while firing shots.

"Obviously this is a person who's not afraid to use violence to gain whatever he's trying to gain," Detective Wayne Mackey says.

Detective Mackey says the suspect fired at least four shots. The clerk was not hurt.

The suspect is seen in the video getting his hands on the cash register drawer, before jumping back out of the drive-thru window before fleeing the scene.

Warren police say they need the public's help in tracking the suspect down.

"What we need is for somebody to identify him, hopefully they can recognize him from his clothing or his face," Mackey says.

It's not known how much money the suspect made off with.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Warren police department 330-841-2726.
