ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting in Ellwood City that left one man dead and two other people wounded.

Police found two people wounded by gunshots at the Walnut Street Apartments on Loop Street shortly after 10:00 p.m. Sunday.

34-year-old Rashund Smith had been shot several times, and 29-year-old Jessica Jackson had been shot once.  Both New Castle residents were taken UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of injuries that police say are not life threatening.

Police say that 29-year-old Thomas Paris of New Castle was also shot, but was taken from the crime scene by private vehicle.  His body was found in the vehicle in the parking lot of The Ranch restaurant along State Route 65 in Wayne Township.

Police say they believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing domestic dispute between Smith and a woman.
