Vandals strike New Castle High School's football stadium

Posted: Updated:
Vandals caused extensive damage to New Castle High School's football stadium.

Kids are suspected of ripping padding from a goal post and torching it atop the school's logo in the turf.

They also allegedly ripped padding on the five man sleds and set fire to at least one sled on the field.

Damage to the turf alone is estimated at $4300.

The field should be ready in time for the first home game.

The superintendent says they're looking into some suspects.
