GM names new manager at Lordstown plant

General Motors announced on Monday that Steve Notar Donato, formerly plant manager at the GM, Marion, Indiana Stamping plant, has been promoted to Lordstown Complex plant manager. Notar Donato replaces Bob Parcell, who was recently promoted to manufacturing manager, GM International Operations based in Singapore.

According to a news release from GM, Notar Donato has more than 27 years of service with General Motors. He began his career as a college graduate in training and progressed through multiple assignments of increasing responsibility in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and labor relations.

Notar Donato has worked at several  GM facilities including Flint Stamping, Lansing Stamping, New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc., (NUMMI), Orion Assembly, Parma Metal Center, Wentzville Assembly, and Marion.

Notar Donato has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in manufacturing management from Kettering University.

Notar Donato began his duties on Friday.
