Youngstown Business Incubator receives donation for 3-D printing summer camp

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

The effort to make Youngstown a center for 3-D printing technology got a boost in the form of a donation from the AT&T Foundation.

On Monday, the Youngstown Business incubator was presented a check for $10,000, earmarked for a joint effort with Youngstown State University known as BIZ3D.

BIZ3D is targeted at high school students during the summer.  It introduces them to 3-D printing, but offers special emphasis on the business aspects of the technology.

The AT&T Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and programs that foster inclusion and create opportunities for diverse populations.

The Youngstown Business Incubator has a stated mission to facilitate the creation of high-value businesses through collaborative partnerships that promote innovative technologies.
