GEORGETOWN, Ohio (AP) - A southwest Ohio man whose illegal child pornography was discovered on Facebook and reported by the social network's law enforcement division has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The prosecutor's office in Brown County says 55-year-old Marcus Spaulding pleaded guilty on Wednesday to felony charges of possessing and sharing child pornography.

Prosecutors say Spaulding was arrested last year after Facebook's law enforcement division alerted authorities of illegal activity on his account. It was then investigated by the county sheriff's office.

Prosecutor Zac Corbin says it was one of the most disturbing cases he has encountered, and it underscores that child pornography is often disseminated via social media.

Spaulding was sentenced in Georgetown, southeast of Cincinnati. His attorney didn't return a call seeking comment Thursday.
