Rock & Roll pioneer Alan Freed to be buried in Cleveland

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, Ohio -

The late rock and roll pioneer Alan Freed will find his final resting place in Cleveland.

Freed's urn was recently removed from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where it had been for years.

Earlier this month, the city of Salem, where several of Freed's family members are buried, offered to display the urn in the historical society where they already have a display dedicated to the late disc jockey.

The Freed family announced this week that he would be buried in the Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
