Tri Lakes Library celebrates first birthday

Posted: Updated:

The Tri Lakes Library in North Jackson celebrated it's first birthday with an ice cream social fundraiser on Wednesday.

Children in attendance received a dilly bar from Dairy Queen and had the opportunity to meet Captain McFinn.

The library's development director, Deborah Liptak said some of those who made donations to the library will forever be remembered at the building.

"Donors actually can sponsor a room, they can sponsor an area of the library, like one of our meeting rooms, small meeting rooms and we have a nice donor plaque to commemorate all the businesses, to honor people and memorialize people," said Liptak.

All proceeds benefit the Tri-Lakes Capital Campaign, whose goal is for all communities to support their public libraries.
