YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Valley tow truck operator is free on bond after answering charges of disrupting public services and identity fraud.

26-year-old Alex C. Bugno of Poland, appeared in Mahoning County Common Pleas court on Tuesday to answer allegations that he called a wireless company and had a competitor's mobile phone service shut off.

The suspect, who drives for Bugno's Towing, allegedly posed as a representative of Ludt's Towing.  Investigators say Bugno made the call on a weekend when Ludt's was next on the rotation list to answer towing calls from the Youngstown Police department.

Bugno's has offices on Indianola Avenue in Youngstown. Ludt's operates from McClurg Road in Boardman.

Youngstown police have towing companies on a rotating schedule, so the towing calls are evenly distributed. A spokesman for Bugno's tells 21 News that Bugno's is not on that rotation.
