YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

For the first time in 11 years, the Ohio Police and Fire Games will be held right here in the Mahoning Valley. It's expected that 800 law enforcement officers, military officers and firefighters from around the state will take part in a host of games and sporting events sponsored by the Mahoning Valley Chiefs of Police Association.

Carl Frost, Mahoning Valley Chiefs of Police Association, said, "The public is invited to come and watch all the events except for the K-9. Those are closed for liability reasons."

April Stanislaw, the Special Events Director for the Chamber of Commerce said the games provide a look at Youngstown's resources.

"All in all it's just working together and bringing awareness to what we have to offer here in Youngstown."

The 2015 Ohio Police and Fire Games will be held June 14th through the 19th.
