Vienna Township Police have made one arrest after searching an alleged home grown marijuana operation.

Police executed a search warrant at a home at 1292 Karen Oval on Tuesday where they found 100 marijuana plants growing in the basement.

Officials said that they have arrested Thomas Pepe, 37, in connection with the growing operation.

"He will probably be charged with cultivation, but cultivation, there's several levels depending on the weight and to get an exact weight we're going to have BCI do that for us. And then, right now he's being transported and he will be booked at the Trumbull County Jail for drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments," said Sgt. Mike Sheehy, Vienna Police Department.

The plants and equipment will be sent to BCI for further investigation.
