Trumbull County to appeal Lordstown sewer ruling

Posted: Updated:

A long legal battle by Lordstown to build and operate its own sewer district will get even longer.

Trumbull County has filed a notice that it will appeal a decision from a federal judge who ruled that the village was within its rights in 2007 to enter into an agreement send waste to the city of Warren for processing.

County officials had argued that the village had effectively taken over a portion of the sewer district that the county had operated for decades.
