New pizza chain opens in Boardman

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -

A new restaurant franchise opened its first location in Boardman on Tuesday.

Rise Pies is located in The Shops at Boardman Park.

Pizza lovers can create their own pizzas starting at $4.99.

Customers choose their toppings or specialty pizzas created by local culinary expert Vernon Cesta.

“It's build your own pizza. You pick your sauce, pick your cheese, and pick your dough. We have 23 different toppings to choose from, three different crusts, six different sauces. We also have nine specialty pizzas that Vernon has crafted for the menu. You so can pick one of those or build your own,” said Eddie Muransky, Rise Pies president.

“You can't go wrong. You put your toppings on it, you got a great crust and a great oven to fire it up in. It's going to be a great pizza," said Cesta.

Two Rise Pies locations are scheduled to open in Florida in the fall and spring.
