A man who pleaded guilty to fatally shooting a Lisbon man in Youngstown has been sentenced to 18 years to life in prison.

Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John Durkin sentenced 35-year-old Larry Blue on Thursday.

Blue pleaded guilty on Wednesday to reduced charges just before his trial was about to get underway for the February 2013 shooting death of David Stokes at the Rockford Village development on Youngstown's east side.

Blue was convicted of murder, aggravated robbery and two counts of felonious assault with firearm specifications.

The more serious aggravated murder charge was dropped.
