Salem police have arrested a man believed to be responsible for a Saturday shooting.

Vincent Perry, 22, is charged with felonious assault and possession of drugs following his arrest.

Police arrived to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue Saturday morning to find Kevin Jackson, 31, with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Jackson was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say they believe Perry, who was captured after a brief manhunt, was the shooter in the incident.

Perry was arraigned in Columbiana County Municipal Court and is being held in county jail.
