Stranded cat rescued from tree in Austintown

Posted: Updated:
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -

Neighbors at Compass West apartments in Austintown Township were worried about a cat that was stuck up a tree for three days.

On Monday, a tree service company that also does pet rescues managed to reach the stranded feline using a mechanical bucket hoist.  A neighbor now hopes to find him a good home.

"I'm so happy. I was so worried, but now he's safe and he's going to be fed and he's warm. This was going on day three and he was freezing cold," said Caitlin Dimuzio.

Brett Beach of Sawteele Tree Service says his company performs pet rescues at no charge and he's glad the cat is safe and well.
