Seaborn Elementary School was placed on temporary lock down Friday while police searched the area around the school.

Weathersfield Township Police were dispatched to a neighborhood in Mineral Ridge shortly after noon when a suspicious man was reported in the area.

When officers arrived on the scene, they contacted Seaborn Elementary School and advised them to go into lock down as a precautionary measure.

The officers were able to locate the suspect, who police say had warrants out for his arrest.

27-year-old Edward Branch was booked into the Trumbull County Jail on charges of possessing drug abuse instruments and obstructing official business.

The school was given the all-clear to resume normal operations after the arrest was made.
