Ramp from Salt Springs to I-80 east open again

Posted: Updated:
WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio -

The Ohio Department of Transportation has good news for some people who regularly travel around the truck stop in Weathersfield.

ODOT announced on Thursday that the entrance ramp from Salt Springs Road to Interstate 80 eastbound is open again.

The ramp had been closed since earlier this month for construction.

Meanwhile, ODOT reminds drivers that the ramp from State Route 11 northbound to I-80 westbound is closed though early August for bridge construction.

The detour is Mahoning Ave. to SR 46 north to I-80 westbound.

I-80 eastbound and westbound between State Route 193 and US 422 has various nightly lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway widening.

The work is part of a $91.5 million project to widen I-80 between SR 11 and SR 193. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2018.
