YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

An 18-year-old Youngstown woman has been indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury for the robbing and stabbing of a city taxi driver in May.

Desiree Byrd is charged with attempted murder, felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

The driver says after picking up Byrd and two men on Ivanhoe Avenue, she stabbed him in the stomach, and one of the men pulled a gun.

The driver told police he managed to wrestle the gun away and the suspects fled.

Police say they are working to identify other suspects.
