Warren teen stabbed in back during disturbance

Posted: Updated:
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Warren Police are investigating a report from a teen who says he was stabbed after several people jumped out of cars along the northeast side of the city.

Officers say they were called to Atlantic Street and Mercer Avenue NE, where a large fight was reported at around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Once in the area, police found a sixteen year old male on the ground in the front yard of home on Forest Avenue NE.

The victim told police that twenty to thirty people jumped out of seven vehicles that had pulled up along the street.

He said he was stabbed in the back by a woman in the crowd.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment. The report gave no indication of his current condition.

Police have a description of the suspect and are attempting to identify her.

This was the second reported stabbing of a teen in Warren last week.

On Wednesday, a sixteen year old boy says he was attacked by a male with a knife along Mahoning Avenue.

The teen received three small puncture wounds in his torso, according to the report.
