Kindergarten students in the Columbiana Exempted Village Schools came home with something other than homework this week.
Children who were in school for early testing were given new Clipper spirit signs to place in the yards of their homes.
Twins, Riley and Mya Fisk are two of the students who proudly displayed the signs reading "Home of a New Clipper!"
“The families loved the signs and the kids couldn’t wait to go home and show their Clipper Spirit,” said Joshua Dixon Elementary Principal Kim Sharshan.
There are 72 children enrolled in kindergarten this year.
The district has more of the signs on order for all new students.
Tuesday, August 23, was the first day of classes in the Columbiana Exempted Village District.
Kindergarten and Preschool students begin classes on Monday, August 29.
