Tornado reports after storm in Pennsylvania

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -

The National Weather Service is trying to determine whether a tornado touched down in northeastern Pennsylvania during a storm, causing some damage but no reported injuries.

Authorities said there were several tornado reports near Scandia in Warren County between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.

Meteorologist Paul Head said it could have been a tornado touching down several times or it could have been a downburst, and officials won't be able to tell until they examine the damage.

He said a National Weather Service team has been dispatched to the area to investigate. There was a report of a barn being blown over, and local officials reported trees and wires coming down, but Head said little other damage was reported in the very rural area.
