If you ask a Youngstown man about being robbed by two clown-masked thieves, he'll probably tell you there was nothing funny about it in more ways than one.

Forty-two-year-old Berice Frederick told police he had just closed his food stand at Glenwood and West LaClede Avenues Thursday night when two men wearing “scary” clown masks pointed guns at him and demanded money.

The victim says after he surrendered $300, the robbers ran away on LaClede.

Police searched the area, but found no sign of the suspects.

However, police discovered that authorities in Columbiana County had a warrant out for the arrest of the man who had just been robbed.

Police took Frederick to the Columbiana County line where he was turned over to Sheriff's deputies and taken to jail.
