CLARKSBURG, Pa. (AP) - A coroner says a 42-year-old man and his 3-year-old namesake have been killed in a two-car crash on a rural western Pennsylvania highway.

Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman says 42-year-old Joseph Wells Jr was driving west on Route 286 when his vehicle crossed the center line and had the passenger side of his vehicle collide with the other car.

Wells was thrown from the vehicle and died in the crash, which occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday in Young Township. That's about 40 miles east of Pittsburgh.

His son, Joseph Wells Jr., was in a child seat in the back of the car and also died. Another 1-year-old child, whose name isn't being released, was seriously injured and taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

The driver and passenger of the other car were both hospitalized.
