Mahoning Valley Historical Society hosting Memories of Christmas Past event

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society is hosting a behind the scenes tour of Memories of Christmas Past with exhibit designer Anthony Worrellia on Tuesday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. at The Arms Family Museum.  

Cost for the event is $12 for Mahoning Valley Historical Society members and $15 for guests.  Reservations can be made by calling 330-743-2589.


Participants can learn the history behind the different pieces that are in this year's exhibit and see what goes in to putting up the display.

    Hubbard water conservation advisory lifted at 7 pm

    People who get their water from the city of Hubbard will no longer  be asked to conserve water after 7 p.m. tonight An advisory was issued by City Service Director Daniel Livingston Thursday morning as crews repaired a break on the main water transmission line. Livingston announced Thursday afternoon that the advisory would be lifted at 7 pm. He says that the city will not issue a boil alert. More >>

    Youngstown police discover body inside south side home

    Young children seen wandering in a Youngstown neighborhood led police to discover the body of their mother. Police on the scene say a neighbor called 9-1-1 after spotting barely-clothed children running outside their East Avondale home Thursday afternoon. When police got there they saw a woman slumped over inside the home. The coroner's office is still investigating, but officers say it appears that the 36-year-old woman appears to have died of an overdose.
