Power restored to around 1,700 people in Columbiana County

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio -

About 1,700 homes have been restored after a power outage in Columbiana County, most of them in East Liverpool.

East Liverpool Police tell 21 News the power was out since early Sunday morning because a transformer had blown up.

AEP Ohio restored the power at about 10:10 a.m.

    Police are investigating a one-vehicle crash in Hempfield Township that left a Greenville man dead.  The Mercer County Coroner confirmed that 62-year-old Thomas Siege died after he was sent to the hospital for serious injuries.  Hempfield Township Police say Siege driving a car that crossed the center line of Donation Road and struck a tree on Monday. Seige was taken to UPMC Greenville hospital, where he later passed away. Coroner, Cris Loutzenhiser ruled the death ...More >>
