AKRON, Ohio -

An East Liverpool man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for child pornography.

Donald Guthrie, Jr., 56, was sentenced on Thursday after pleading guilty earlier in U.S. District Court to receiving visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

A charge of possessing child pornography was dismissed.

Investigators from the Department of Homeland Security say Guthrie received several computer files which contained depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

According to the indictment, Guthrie was in possession of a computer that contained child pornography downloaded between June 2014 and November of last year.
