All American Conference considering new realignment for football

Superintendents in the All-American Conference are considering a proposal to make the conference four tiers again, but for football only.

Earlier this month, a new realignment was approved for the 21 schools for all sports, but after it was learned some schools were considering leaving the conference, this new alignment for football was proposed.

21 Sports has learned the NEW  tier breakdowns consist of:

Tier 1: Boardman, Fitch, Warren Harding

Tier 2: East, Canfield, Howland

Tier 3: Poland, Niles, Hubbard, Lakeview, Struthers, Girard

Tier 4: Jefferson, Edgewood, Champion, Newton Falls, Campbell, LaBrae, Liberty, Brookfield                   

Ashtabula Lakeside informed the league they are leaving in 2019.

There are no mandatory crossover games and schools in tiers 1 and 2 have only two league games.  

This is for football only starting ion 2019, and superintendents are expected to vote on the proposal in the next week.
