Men Who Cook raises funds for Valley organization

Posted: Updated:
STRUTHERS, Ohio -

There were plenty of guys in the kitchen Saturday night. The Annual Men Who Cook fundraiser served up some delicious eats. 17 teams cooked up their best dish for hundreds of people. A panel of judges tasted each teams dish and everyone who cam was able to cast their vote for the best creation. 21 WFMJ's Derek Steyer and Andrew DiPalo were a team and made ranch wings. Mike Case and Jennifer Brindisi hosted the event. The cook off is to benefit Catholic Charities Regional Agency's Emergency Assistance Program.

"It helps people who are in need during times of a crisis. Rent, eviction, utility shut - offs, and things like that when they are able," said Julie Sardich, Chairperson of Men Who Cook.

Last year Men Who Cook raised more than $40,000 for Catholic Charities.
