For many artists, performing at Carnegie Hall in New York is considered to be a sign that you've made your mark in the world of music.

Austintown Fitch High School Choirs and director William Klein have been invited to participate in a performance in the Isaac Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

They will join choirs from around the world to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International as they perform the music of grammy-winning composer Eric Whitacre, who will serve as conductor.

The singers will spend 5 days and 4 nights in New York City in preparation for their concert. “The singers will spend approximately 9-10 hours in rehearsals over the five-day residency,” said Dr. Jonathan Griffith, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor for DCINY.

Organizers are encouraging members of to lend financial support in sending the singers to New York by contacting William Klein at wklein@austintownschools.org.
