Confrontation between drivers in Beaver Township sends one to the hospital

Posted: Updated:
BEAVER TWP., Ohio -

State troopers are investigating what some may call a case of road rage in Beaver Township that sent one person to the hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News that a woman waiting at a stop light on Route 7 and Route 165 Wednesday morning tried to take a picture of the van she said had been tailgating her car just moments before passing her.

The woman says when the other driver saw her taking the picture, he got out of his van, walked up to her car and began yelling at her.

She says when he placed his hands on her car, she pulled into a church driveway where she called police.

In doing so, the car ran over the man's foot.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a suspected fracture.

Troopers, who say they don't believe the woman will be cited, plan to talk to the man in the hospital.

The patrol has not released the names of the drivers.
