YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A local business owner faces criminal charges after investigators say he collected between $40,000 and $50,000 in sales taxes from customers, but failed to forward that money to the state.

The Mahoning County Grand Jury on Thursday handed up an eleven count indictment charging Kenneth D. Law, 53, of Poland, with theft, tampering with records, failure to remit sales tax and doing business without a license.

Investigators say Law failed to forward sales tax he had collected over a six year period while operating a Proforma Advanced Print Solutions franchise.

Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Mike Yacovone tells 21 News that Law continued to do business even though he had lost his license.

The court will issue a summons for Law to appear for arraignment.
