Pittsburgh Penguins gear available, victory parade Wednesday

Posted: Updated:

For those in the Valley celebrating the Pittsburgh Penguins' Stanley Cup win, there's a victory parade scheduled this week, and there's new gear available to suit up for the occasion.

Fans can get their hands on some hats and t-shirts to show their Penguin Pride at several stores in the Valley.

Stanley Cup Championship items are now available at Sports Obsession and J.C. Penney at the Eastwood Mall.

Dunham's in Hermitage and J.C. Penney at the Shenango Valley Mall also have items available.

The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday and follow a similar route to parades following the 2009 and 2016 championships, along Grant Street and Boulevard of the Allies in Pittsburgh.

However, this year's parade will continue into Point State Park, where the players, coaches and other dignitaries will take the stage to deliver remarks.

The Penguins beat the Nashville Predators 2-0 in game 6 of the final on Sunday.
