WARREN TWP., Ohio -

Warren police responded to a lovers quarrel that lead to a stabbing 4 a.m. Thursday.

A caller from Trumbull Memorial Hospital told police they had a victim with a stab wound.

The report states officers could hear hospital security yelling for help in the background of the call.

29-year-old Norman Morgan had a severe laceration on his front right shoulder.

Morgan said he was stabbed by his girlfriend, Latasha Scott, but said didn't know why she stabbed him.

Officials said Morgan was having difficulty holding a conversation. They said he seemed to be intoxicated and possibly under the influence of drugs given to him at the hospital.

Morgan told police that Scott was at her Parkman Road home in Warren, where the stabbing allegedly took place.

When Warren police arrived at the residence, Scott told police the argument between her and Morgan started while they were hanging out with a male friend.

Scott told police Morgan is very jealous of other men and became angry with her after she came out of the house with a dress on. He told her to put on shorts underneath the dress, and she did.

According to the police report, Scott said Morgan became furious with her after she sat between him and their male friend in an unladylike manner.

Scott said Morgan grabbed her by the hair, dragged her into the house and into the bedroom where he allegedly began beating her.

According to the report, Scott said that she then grabbed a knife that was laying on the floor next to where she was. She stabbed him once with the knife and told him to get out of the house.

Scott was able to lock Morgan out of the house after he stepped outside. The police report says Morgan tried to get back into the house by climbing through a window.

Police found blood on the window and in the spot where Scott said Morgan was arguing with her.

Scott was arrested for felonious assault and taken to the Trumbull County jail.

Morgan will join her in the Trumbull County jail after he is able to be released from the hospital because there was a warrant out for his arrest.
