Future brides score major discounts on designer gowns

Posted: Updated:

Future brides lined up outside a hotel in Canfield to score a major discount on designer wedding dresses.

Toula's Bridal had racks of dresses marked down at the Hampton Inn & Suites on Ironwood Boulevard Saturday morning, for women eager to score a deal on what can often cost them thousands of dollars.

Brand new gowns by wedding dress designers including Maggie Sottero, Pronovias, Eve of Milady and Justin Alexander Signature were on sale.

Some brides traveled from as far as Stark County to potentially save on the wedding dress of their dreams.

"I was really excited, because I looked at a lot of other shops and they're all over $1,000," Erica Kalagidis said of Uniontown.

Kalagidis brought her mom along to help her decide on which one to take home.

"This is an opportunity to get something that's like a designer dress, but for a really good price," she said.

The bridal shop offered more than 300 dresses at $100, $300 and $600. All of the dresses were brand new and originally cost up to $6,000 in some cases.

"It's awesome that there's deals here, because I don't want to spend a lot, I'm not usually into spending too much, so I like finding deals," Megan Brindle said, of Boardman.

Toula's started off with about 300 wedding dresses when the doors opened at 10 a.m., with many of them going home with happy brides by 12 p.m.

The Warehouse Sale started at 10 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m.
