The century-old statues known to reside at the top of the Mahoning County Courthouse are once again home.

The figures were lifted back on to their perch Tuesday afternoon after they underwent several months of repairs.

Before they are placed back on top of the courthouse, people were invited to come to downtown Youngstown to see the new and improved statues titled "Justice, Strength and Authority, & Law".

The 3 figures were originally placed on top of the building in 1909, making them 108 years old.

Before this process began, officials said pieces of the building began to fall to the ground. What once secured the statues, was worn away to the point that there was a danger of statues falling.

The statues were then removed until the support structure was completely fixed.

Renewing the statues nearly completes the renovation process.
