Deaths of 3 on porch officially ruled double murder-suicide

Posted: Updated:

NORTH EAST, Pa. (AP) - The shooting deaths of three people on a Pennsylvania patio over the weekend have been officially ruled a double murder-suicide.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said 54-year-old Teresa Maroglio and 52-year-old Christopher Feucht were shot and killed by 53-year-old James Hemmis, who then shot and killed himself.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots Saturday evening in northwest Pennsylvania's North East Township near Erie, but police weren't called until shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday when the bodies were found.

State police said Hemmis and Maroglio lived next door to Feucht. Police said the victims were sitting on Feucht's patio when Hemmis got a gun from the home he shared with the woman, walked across the driveway and opened fire.
