LISBON, Ohio -

The Lisbon football program has won 25 games the last three seasons and has made back to back playoff appearances.

It's the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference's inaugural season and the Blue Devils want to make it count.

"We're going into a new league and our goal is to win it and to try and make the playoffs for a third year," said Tsilimos.

There are seven starters returning on offense and defense. "We have Dougie Minor, Cam Summers, Seth Stokes, and Justin Larkins, just a few kids. We also have Mason Rance. Our seniors definitely got to lead us." Tsilimos said

They have a new starting quarterback in junior Logan Bell. "Logan we feel is ready. He's a junior and he's got to be able to make the reads and do things for us, make the right decisions," the coach said.

The veteran coach has some holes to fill on the interior lines but has some capable players ready to step up. "Justin Larkins and Bryce Blackburn are two kids that played a lot of football for us up front last year and their back.  We're pleased where we're at with keeping the same offense and defense. We feel we're executing a lot better this year," said Tsilimos

The Blue Devils were 9-1 last season and averaged 43 points a game.
