YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

A Youngstown man has been charged after crashing his motorcycle with a juvenile on the back on Wednesday.

According to reports, the crash took place on East Judson Avenue and South Avenue at 1:30 am, where police found both men on the ground.

The driver of the motorcycle, John Grzejka, was on the ground with apparent injuries.

A 17-year-old male was riding on the back of the motorcycle during the crash. The passenger had a helmet on but Grzejka did not.

Both passengers were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Police said a few hours before the crash, they were called to a residence where Grzejka was intoxicated and fighting with another resident. Police asked him to leave the house without driving himself.

Reports stated his girlfriend drove him to another house, but police were called back to the same address an hour later because Grzejka was back at the residence and trying to ride his motorcycle.

According to reports, police said that they told him he could not ride his motorcycle and cleared the scene again.

Police said that both people involved were injured and taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

When police told Grzejka what he would be charged for, he replied saying there was no one on the back of his bike.

According to the Mahoning County Sheriff's website, Grzejka was booked on Saturday for child endangering, driving under the influence, and OVI suspension.
