COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A vehicle has gone into a pond at an apartment complex in central Ohio, with the two men inside the vehicle taken to a hospital where they died.

Columbus police say the vehicle went into the pond at the Hartford on the Lakes apartment complex around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Personnel from the city's fire division pulled the men from the pond.

Police Sgt. Rich Weiner says one of the men was identified by his fingerprints. His name was being withheld until his family could be notified. Weiner says the other man wasn't immediately identified.

Authorities haven't provided any other information about the crash or what caused it. Their investigation is continuing.
