WARREN, Ohio -

Construction of a $570,000 sewer project in Trumbull County is complete.

Trumbull County Commissioners were joined by county leaders Thursday for a ribbon cutting ceremony to announce the Allison Avenue sewer project is finished and ready for customers.

Construction included the installation of more than 2,500 feet of sewer pipe.

The total cost was approximately $570,000, with 80 percent of the cost covered by grant dollars.

The sewer lines will receive flow from 18 existing structures in Champion, Warren Townships, and the Trumbull County Metropolitan Sanitary Sewer District. The lines will provide service to customers living along Allison Avenue and portions of Woodside Drive and Knox Avenue.

"The installation of sanitary sewer lines is paramount to maintain the value of these properties," said Commissioner Dan Polivka in a press release. "After the sewer connection is made, you’ll never have to worry about a septic tank again."
