Posted: Updated:

Detective work along with the help of social media has led the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into a Youngstown business.

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested 35-year-old Nicholas Kovacs at his North Belle Vista Avenue home in Youngstown on Tuesday.

The Youngstown Police Department issued a warrant for the arrest of Kovacs in connection with a break-in at the Stone Fruit Coffee Company in Cornersburg early Sunday.

Authorities believe it was the second time Kovacs broke into the Canfield Road coffee drive-through.

The owner of the business posted surveillance video of the break-in, showing the suspect smashing a window.

Police say the suspect used a hammer to break a window, then climbed inside, grabbed the cash box and fled.

According to a police report, the suspect discovered that the cash box was empty.

The owner of the business says the company doesn't keep money overnight at any of the locations.

Kovacs will be arraigned in Youngstown Municipal Court on two counts of breaking and entering.
