WEST FARMINGTON, Ohio -

A sleepy driver is being blamed for a crash in West Farmington Wednesday morning that closed down a portion of State Route 88.

The Ohio State Patrol responded to the crash in the westbound lane around 7 a.m.

Troopers said the driver of a Pontiac G6 was headed eastbound when he fell asleep at the wheel, crossing into the westbound lane and hitting an ODOT plow truck head on.

The driver of the Pontiac was not injured in the crash and the driver of the plow truck was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital with minor injuries.

State Route 88 has since reopened.
