HERMITAGE, Pa. -

The Joy in Childhood Foundation, supported by Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, presented a $5,000 grant to a local food warehouse.

On Thursday, the foundation presented the check to Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County at the Hermitage Dunkin' Donuts.

The grant is part of a $2.3 million commitment the foundation made, to bring joy to sick and hungry kids during the holiday season.

"The holiday season is a critical time for us, which is why we are so grateful for the generous support we're receiving from the Joy in Childhood Foundation. This grant will give children who are facing hunger in our community access to the essential resources they need that give them energy to focus, engage, learn and grow," said Mimi Prada, Agency/Public Relations Manager.
