YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Youngstown police gave citations to two men on Friday after they caught them selling alcohol to minors.

Police sent a minor into Rick's Food Mart on 1010 Oak Street to buy alcohol. An officer then went to the store to watch the transaction.

The officer said he watched the minor walk up to the counter and purchase a Mike's Hard Watermelon drink.

Once the sale was complete, the officer issued a citation to Alexander Pinero for selling alcohol to a person under 21.

The next incident occurred at the South Avenue Gas Mart around an hour later.

Police sent a minor into the 2325 South Ave mart to buy alcohol and had an officer follow him in.

The minor purchased a Mike's Hard Cranberry drink at the counter and was not asked for identification.

After the sale was finished, the officer issued a citation to Surender Singh for selling alcohol to someone under 21.
