Tucson, Arizona – April 9, 2018 /MarketersMedia/

Zanes Law proudly announces the firm is launching a mass tort legal claims division to better serve individuals injured by a dangerous pharmaceutical or product. Mass tort is a legal term used to describe a case where numerous people, referred to as plaintiffs, take legal action against one or more defendants for similar reasons. The case brings these individuals together to sue the party responsible while still bringing their individual case to the courtroom.

“People often want mass tort information when they have been injured in this manner and our Tucson Office is always happy to answer questions. However, individuals often want basic information about class action suits before taking this step. For example, a person may hear about a recall on certain cars for defective airbags, and our website is available around the clock to answer these questions. The first thing many people will be surprised to learn is class action suits and mass tort suits differ in terms of their procedural. litigious and equitable monetary outcome, ” Doug Zanes, founder of Zanes Law, explains.

Current law allows for civil action against a corporation or entity that has sold or distributed a product that caused harm to numerous people. However, a class action attorney files on behalf of the defendants as a group, while a mass tort attorney represents numerous individuals injured by the same medication or product, but files separate suits for each party. Doing so makes it harder to determine settlements and compensation which is why a mass tort attorney is needed.

“The injured party or his or her loved ones must understand this is only one of the differences seen between the two types of cases. Furthermore, they must ensure the right type of suit is filed and the attorney handling the case brings the necessary experience to the trial. This is why we are working to inform the public of their options and are opening a mass tort legal claims division to assist these people,” Zanes continues.

Individuals have a legal and moral right to receive compensation for their injuries. No corporation or entity should be permitted to have a negative impact on a person’s life without being held responsible. The new legal division of Zanes Law works to ensure they are accountable for their actions.

“Contact our Tuscon or Phoenix Office today or stop by our website to obtain more information. We are happy to help in any way we can, as we know those who are responsible will have a team of attorneys working on their behalf. We want to ensure individuals have the same with the help of our mass tort legal claims division that just opened,” Zanes states.
