Power restored after 2,000 without power in Salem area

The power is now restored after nearly 2,000 homes and businesses in the Salem area lost electricity Sunday morning.

At 10 a.m., FirstEnergy reported 1,968 customers in Salem, Salem Township, and Perry Township were without power.

Salem police say they are aware of the outage and asking people not to tie up phone lines with calls to their department.
