Flooding closes two Trumbull County parks

WARREN, Ohio -

High water closed a couple of parks in Trumbull County until further notice.

Trumbull MetroParks announced on Monday that Thomas A Swift and Canoe City have been closed due to flooding.

MetroParks Operations Director Zachary Svette said in a media release that there may be standing water at other parks and people should avoid those areas.

    A New Castle apartment was evacuated yesterday due to a dangerous amount of carbon monoxide affecting about a dozen residents.  The complex is home to mostly elderly people.
